Registration Information

ACTAL will be held at the University of Texas at Arlington this year from November 13-15! Join fellow innovators from academic libraries as we explore creative technologies in media, making, and visualization. Over the three days, expect engaging presentations, workshops, and roundtables covering technology space development, student mentorship, and audio/visual production. This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect, share ideas, and expand your knowledge. We’re excited to see you there!

Registration Rates

  • $150 – General conference attendee
  • $125 – Conference presenter
  • $80 – Student / Unsubsidized (*Unsubsidized applies to professionals who receive no support from your institution, and also includes part-time, between jobs, and retired)

Registration Includes: Two receptions (Wednesday and Thursday); Breakfast, snacks, and lunch (Thursday and Friday) and all conference materials, breakout sessions, and keynote speaker.

Registration closes Wednesday, November 6 at midnight.

Cancelation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be flexible and fair:

  • Full Refund: Cancellations made on or before November 6th will receive a full refund of the registration fee.
  • Partial Refund: Cancellations made from November 7th until the day before the conference will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee.
  • No Refund: Cancellations made on the day of the conference or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund.

Scholarships are available. Please email Lauren Stutler at lauren.stutler@uta.edu to inquire about receiving funding for travel or other expenses.

A shuttle to and from Billy Bob’s will be provided. The return shuttle will stop at the Arlington Hilton and at UTA. Pickup will be outside the Maverick parking garage (out the main doors of the library and left around the building). It will arrive at 5:45 p.m. to depart at 6 p.m.
